Board of Directors
Kristen R. Kubitz attended North Carolina Governor’s School West for Choral Music in 1993. Her love for voice continued through her high school and college years with North Carolina Honors Chorus and All-State performances, membership in Carolina Choir, and selection for the University of North Carolina Loreleis. She was also a member of the Grammy Award winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte.
Kristen graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Her interest in the study of voice lead to a career as a Speech Pathologist, earning a
Master of Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Georgia State University in 2001. Her professional practice has been dedicated primarily to the care of patients who have experienced stroke, head and neck cancer, or other critical illnesses. She currently serves as Manger for Rehabilitation Services at a major medical facility in Charlotte.
Kristen joined the Board of Directors in 2022 and is grateful for the opportunity to support the Governor’s School’s unique role and offerings for North Carolina’s most talented students.
